Daniel C. Mills, Jr. was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Lehigh University, where he received his B.A. in 1952. Dan served in the United States Navel Reserve from 1948-1967 earning the rank of Lieutenant. In 1959 he received his LL.B from the University of Michigan Law School. From 1952-1956 Dan was involved in active military duty, including commissioning and service as a Naval Intelligence Officer.
Dan was employed by the Law Department of Bethlehem Steel Corporation from 1959-1992. He was first assigned to Lackawanna, New York and transferred to Bethlehem’s Burns Harbor, Indiana Plant and subsequently relocating to the Safety and Worker’s Compensation Division in Bethlehem. Dan was appointed Director of Human Resources for the Coal Mine Division Management Group, where he served as Senior Attorney of Litigation from 1987-1992. Upon retiring from the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in 1992, he entered private practice with our firm.
Dan was a member of the Northampton County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He was honored by the Northampton County Bar Association for 50 years of practicing law.
